How do I record a station?

First, you need to have StationRipper installed, and be running the portal from inside of StationRipper (just run the application and you install it - this site will come up by default).  You can download StationRipper here.

Where do the stations come from?  How do I get new stations on the portal?

StationPortal uses anonymous information sent in from StationRipper and a couple of applications, which lets us know what stations are out there and what they are playing.
